Routemaster London Bus

The AEC Routemaster bus stands out as a globally recognised symbol of London's heritage, on par with landmarks like the London Eye and Big Ben. Having served the capital for over 50 years, these high-capacity vehicles are now a popular choice of bus for wedding hire.

Each Routemaster bus features an open rear boarding platform. With a total seating capacity of 72 passengers across its upper and lower decks, it provides ample space for everyone to enjoy the journey together. Should you require additional buses for larger guest lists, we offer two more identical buses, each accommodating another 72 passengers. Photos in the gallery show all three buses and showcase their charm and suitability for making your wedding day truly memorable. 

All buses come with the standard 'Wedding Special' sign, and personalised signs can be arranged upon request for a small extra fee. To enhance the experience even further, we can also add a drinks service onboard, including 72 glasses for toasting the happy couple (champagne to be provided by the client).

Drinks Service in this Routemaster Bus:  

If you'd like to provide celebratory drinks to your wedding guests this is perfectly fine but we do ask you to be aware of a few requirements.  Due to UK licensing laws you will need to provide your own drinks whether it be Champagne, Wine or soft drinks.  You must arrange to have them delivered to the Routemaster's base a few days before the hire day so they can be suitably chilled and loaded aboard for the day of the hire. You will also need to provide glasses, but due to safety issues they must be plastic or paper cups, No breakable glass.  On the day, the drinks will be served to your guests by the Bus Crew as they board the bus.  All glasses, empty bottles and any other debris will be collected and disposed of by the Bus Crew at the end of the trip.  The cost of this additional service is £80.
