Rolls-Royce Open Tourer

About this vehicle:

The 1930's was the era of the Charleston and of romantic travel and the most famous car maker of them all, Rolls-Royce, produced some very iconic vehicles like this fabulous convertible Open Tourer. In California, many Hollywood stars of the period could be seen travelling around Beverly Hills in such luxury during the period as many owned a convertible Rolls-Royce.

Although fabulous as a convertible the vehicle does have  a hood and sidescreens as shown in the photos which can be fitted during inclement weather to offer some protection to the occupants although being an 'open tourer' it was designed mainly to be used as open topped.  Entry and exit is easy as the vehicle is a four door convertible and has running boards on both sides providing a step up into the cabin.

The wire spoked wheels, the frog eye headlamps and the twin horns underneath the lamps simply ooze the style of the period but nothing more says class and luxury than the iconic Rolls-Royce column grille with the famous 'Spirit of Ecstasy' mascot on top.  The 1930's certainly had style !

We had an excellent experience with this car on our Wedding Day! The driver was fantastic and tried his best to get us around as quickly as possible, despite the terrible traffic conditions. Thank you very much for such a comfortable day with five star service. Best wishes, Natasha & Izaak
