Austin Champ

Vehicle Ref 169

Front side view of Austin Champ Jeep in Army Khaki Colour

About this vehicle:

The Champ is one of only around 300 left on the road in the UK, it was designed as the British answer to the US Jeep after World War II. Known for being over engineered and expensive to produce it has a 2.8 litre Rolls-Royce designed B40 four cylinder engine. Despite the basic look it has a ride quality to rival most modern cars and was years ahead of its time in many respects.

It has a simple fold up roof but no side cover which means the side remains open when driving, although if the weather is fine the roof can be fully down to appreciate the full open effect.

The Austin Champ can take two passengers in the back and one in the front. The driver can wear appropriate period ceremonial or combat uniform, or civilian clothes if preferred, simply let us know your preference at the time of booking.  An unusual and fun way to travel, perhaps for the Groom and Best Man.

Adrian was simply faultless from beginning to end. He arrived well before the allotted time, well-dressed and with the car in pristine condition. He was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the DB6 and the car got a lot of compliments throughout the day!

He was also kind enough to allow guests to take photos in and around the car during our drinks reception. Heavily recommend!

Mark was brilliantly patient and such a lovely guy! We had a good conversation, he was more than welcoming to photo ideas and just honestly a pleasure to have drive us! The car is a beauty, well kept, clean and delightful. My husband was allowed to start the car and give it a big old rev - which he loved! The car turned heads and everywhere with people smiling and congratulating us on the way to the reception. 10/10
