Some classic VW campervans can seat seven passengers, but most campers seat 6 passengers (5 in the main section, and 1 next to the chauffeur). Some campervans have seats facing each other in conference style allowing plenty of legroom and space for the bride’s gown. If you are looking at transporting children on your big day, ensure the VW campers are equipped with seat belts. Some fully restored vintage VW vehicles have been fitted with seat belts to take the youngest of wedding guests. On each vehicle listing, it will advise on whether children can be transported.

On average, a 3-hour hire prices start from around £350 to hire a vintage VW. Hiring cost depends on the length of hire, the number of journeys involved (ie: journey for bridesmaid transport, bride and father, then couple to the reception venue), the distance between each location and the time of the year (winter vs. summer weddings or weekdays vs. weekends).

You can request specific decorations for your VW campervan hire. Garlands of flowers, silk flowers, cushions, and “Just Married” signs are some of the different types of decoration for campervans available in most vehicles for your big day. 

The photos on our website will show the range available with each campervan. You are welcome to provide your own personalised decoration, but do let us know beforehand so we can check that the fittings are suitable. We recommend trying not to overdo it with the colours as VW wedding campers come in an array of colours such as light blue, traditional white or ivory, and pastel green. Highly colourful decorations might clash!

Typically, a 3-hour hire allows for the bridal party to be taken to the ceremony, waiting time during the ceremony, then taking the happy couple onwards to the reception venue. If both the ceremony and reception are at the same venue then hiring a campervan for 2-hours should be ample time to allow for a single journey and some photos with your wedding transport after the service.
