About this vehicle:
A magnificent and very rare Oakland Model 40 Tourer dating back to 1912, being one of only eight known of this model that are still in existence. This Edwardian car can act as a sophisticated backdrop to your wedding photographs alongside providing an elegant form of transport for the big day.
This most imposing and powerful car is superbly presented in Silver Grey livery with red coach lining and black wings. Upholstery is in deep-buttoned black leather and the car is equipped with a fully enveloping hood, a folding brass windscreen and coach lamps, hickory spoke wheels with running boards on both sides for easier entry and exit.
The Oakland Tourer is an open sided convertible so can be used with the roof fully down as a full convertible or the roof closed with the sides open which will offer protection from above.
The only thing missing to make this a ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ style of car is wings and you could then fly to the ceremony. In the meantime the chauffeur will glide you to the ceremony at a serene pace at ground level. As with all open sided tourers a little wind from the side should be considered. A beautiful and elegant vehicle from the golden era of transportation.

Dear Aidi,
