This beautiful car from the fabulous fifties era is in a Turqouise shade of Blue and has a large two litre engine and can seat three passengers in comfort. It was the star at the 1951 Paris Motor Show and its tropical colour was chosen by its first owner Lady Docker, but this timeless classic never went in to full production so she really is a rare sight indeed. Even one of the most famous people in the world Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II had to settle for a saloon version, which she still owns. Seen at many 1950’s film premieres with such stars as Audrey Hepburn, this Lanchester built by the combined Daimler-Lanchester company was one of the last of the Lanchesters to be built. This was the top of the range, a powerful automatic vehicle with a touch-button drop top power hood, ideal to reveal the famous occupants for photography and really quite unique in the 1950’s. This particular Lanchester is due to appear in some period films which are currently in production and due to be released in 2018-19.
