This beautiful and very rare Bentley ‘Franay’ convertible based in Surrey is a real head turner. This drophead coupe was featured on the Franay Stand at the Paris Motor Show in 1951. The distinctive sweeping swage down its flanks, hugging the trailing edge of the rear wheel arches, shows the lines of this car superbly. The bodywork is in Ivory with a Rich Brown hood and the interior features a walnut dashboard and Champagne coloured leather seats with burgundy piping.
Franay was a French coachbuilder of renown who dressed prestigious car chassis such as Bentley, Delage, Hispano-Suiza and Rolls-Royce. After World War II Franay built the Talbot-Lago Grand Sport and in 1955 President René Coty’s ceremonial car, a Citroën Traction Avant. For the Bride & Groom who require their transport to be different, and very rare, this has to be the one.
