Affectionately known as Lucy, this 1964 Volkswagen Split Screen Samba is one of the most recognisable campervans ever built. Finished in the classic Volkswagen combination of Aqua Weiss (White) over Turquoise , it brings plenty of character and a relaxed feel to any wedding day.
The Samba was the top specification model in the Volkswagen range and is best known for its 21 windows, giving passengers panoramic views and filling the cabin with natural light. It also features the traditional fabric folding sunroof, perfect for sunny days, along with the iconic split windscreen, where both front windscreen panels can be opened for extra ventilation and that unmistakable vintage VW charm.
Inside, Lucy can accommodate up to 6 passengers plus the chauffeur. Seating is arranged with 5 passengers in the rear and 1 passenger in the front next to the chauffeur, making it ideal for transporting the bridal party or close family members together.
Whether parked outside the venue or arriving with the wedding party on board, the Split Screen Samba always attracts attention. It offers something a little different from a traditional wedding car and is perfect for couples looking for a relaxed, fun and memorable way to travel.
If you're looking to transport a larger group, we also have an almost identical Split Screen campervan available. The two campers make a fantastic pair and look particularly impressive when they arrive together. (See our other classic campervan here.)
