Established in 1996, driven by his people skills and his love for classic luxury vehicles such as Rolls-Royce and Bentley, our founder ‘Michael’ created a new wedding car hire service on the South Coast of the UK. Following his initial success, Michael steadily grew the business and shared his love of not only luxury vehicles but many other classic and unique vehicles.

As at 2020, some 24 Years later Premier Carriage is still standing strong and a leader in its field. We’ve received many awards, and we’ve also had a few defeats and frustrations along the way and can only assume there will be more to come but the joy of seeing a Bride’s happiness, and sometimes nervousness as she embarks on her last journey as a single person, the final private moment a Father has with his daughter en-route to church, and of course our passion for our classic cars outweigh it all.
As we head into the future and in our changing times it is not only the Bride that we transport, same sex couples are also tying the knot and no matter who we transport they still show their happiness, the occasional nervousness and tears of joy. Thank heaven for tissues!
Michael is still involved in the business, perhaps not as much as before but he still puts his chauffeur’s cap on and drives his classic vehicles. He also helps mentor other small start-up wedding car hire companies in training them with his chauffeuring skills and customer service. Some have now become very successful with a fleet of vehicles.
Today, Premier Carriage Wedding Cars is run and managed by myself, Didier.
I have worked in a customer service environment for well over 20 years and I met Michael at a Classic Car event where we found we had the same interests, from then onwards it was just a logical step for Michael to ask me to help him in his successful and growing business, bringing a fresh younger mind [sorry Michael] and an understanding of fast changing modern technology.

I am in the office Monday to Friday each week, and out driving my own classic cars at weekends. I must remember to take some photos when we next have a ‘sunny’ outing and add them to this page.
Gloria helps with incoming calls and messaging when I am out of the office or busy on a different phone call.
You will know when you’re speaking to Gloria as coming from New Zealand, she has a soft Kiwi accent. She is passionate about Rugby and loves the ‘All Blacks’, the New Zealand Rugby team.
