Corona Virus (Covid-19) - Policy
  • Due to the logistics involved we do not normally operate to the Isle of Wight, however we are aware that vehicle choice is somewhat limited on the island and because we have received a number of requests for our vehicles we are now happy to consider this, but with the following provisos.

    For all IOW bookings an additional £40 is to be added to the standard mainland [Full 4hr] local prices shown on this website, however the hours included will be increased to 5 hours.  ‘Base to Base’ mileage allowances included in the hire will be the same as those for mainland weddings. For weddings that start and finish on the Island the five hours start from the chauffeurs arrival at the mainland ferry terminal 30 minutes before the scheduled sailing time and end on the ferry’s arrival back at the mainland terminal.  For weddings that start on the mainland and end on the Island the five hours start 15 minutes before the departure from the mainland collection address and end on the Ferry’s arrival back at the mainland terminal.  For weddings that start on the island and end on the mainland the five hours start from the chauffeurs arrival at the mainland ferry terminal 30 minutes before the scheduled sailing time and end on arrival at the mainland reception venue. There will be no A to B rates for IOW bookings.

    For all IOW itineraries the client will be responsible for booking and paying for the correct return ferry fare and they must either send the ticket direct to the vehicle owner not later than 21 days prior to the wedding date or arrange for it to be collected by the chauffeur on arrival at the ferry terminal.  If you require Premier Carriage to arrange and book the ferry ticket a charge of £40 is to be added to the quote in which case the ferry fare is to be paid to Premier Carriage at the same time the deposit is paid.  Although we can accept cheques for deposit payments we do not accept payment for the ferry fare by cheque as ferry fares may need to be purchased before the cheque has cleared.  In event of cancellation the client will be bound by the terms and conditions of the ferry company with regard to ticket cancellation and refunds.  Premier Carriage is not responsible or liable for refunds of ferry tickets, and will not be held responsible if unable to achieve a booking on the ferry that best fits in with the timings for the required itinerary.

    Premier Carriage and/or the vehicle owners will not be held responsible for a late arrival at the island collection address caused by a delay to the sailing or the inability to board the required or booked ferry for reasons outside the control of Premier Carriage or the vehicle owner/chauffeur.  As the hire time ends on the vehicles arrival back at the mainland terminal the client will agree to compensate the vehicle owner after the event for any additional hours [if incurred] should the hired vehicle not be able to board the booked return ferry or there is a delay to the sailing time meaning the hired vehicle is unable to reach the mainland by the end of the paid hire due to reasons not caused by the hired vehicle or it’s owner/chauffeur.

    If the client agrees with these provisos we will be happy to extend our services to the Isle of Wight.
