This stunning and beautifully restored four door Austin Convertible from the 1930’s is the ‘Open Road Tourer’ version. Being a convertible you have the choice of travelling styles. As with most cars from this period a running board was standard which provides for easy access into and out of the car, in addition the rear door is forward opening which allows you to exit more gracefully than conventionally opening doors. Although the car is shown mainly with the convertible roof in the fully open position it does have a full hood and full side windows to protect the occupants should the weather not be as planned and hood up position is shown in one of the photographs. A truly versatile automobile. This car exactly matches the Austin Ascot Saloon [ref 301] if two cars are required in the same colour.
