Plan the groom's journey

The best car depends on who is going together, when they need to arrive and what happens to the car after the ceremony.

    Who is travelling?

A supercar may take only one passenger with the chauffeur. Check space for the best man or groomsmen.

  2. 02

    When will you arrive?

Set a collection time that gets the groom to the ceremony before guests arrive.

  3. 03

    One car or two?

A separate groom's car can be paired with the couple's car or used for another journey later.

Explore the options

Plan the groom's arrival around the people travelling

A groom's car might be a one-person supercar experience, a journey with the best man or a separate vehicle for several groomsmen. Work out the passenger and timing needs before choosing the style.

Supercars and sports cars

A Lamborghini or McLaren makes a memorable arrival, but some vehicles have room for only one passenger alongside the chauffeur. If the best man is travelling too, check the actual listing rather than assuming a sports car can carry both.

Luxury saloons and SUVs

A Rolls-Royce, Bentley or modern saloon can provide more passenger space. Compare the actual seat count and pick a car that works for your party's clothing, collection point and plans after the ceremony.

American muscle and character cars

Mustangs, Dodge models and older character cars offer another style of arrival. The experience and seating differ by model, so inspect the actual photos and capacity before building the day's transport around one.

Coordinate both arrivals

The groom generally needs to be at the ceremony ahead of the other main arrivals. Share both itineraries if you are booking two vehicles. If the groom's car is needed for photographs or an onward trip, include this in the hire time.

A separate car can be useful when the two parties leave from different places or need to arrive at different times. Confirm passenger seats, pickup time, route and any ribbons with the supplier of the chosen vehicle.

What shapes your quote?

Select a car that fits the passengers first. The final quote depends on the vehicle, collection area and journey plan.

Useful answers

Groom car questions

The details that matter when choosing this type of vehicle.

Can the groom travel with his best man?

+
Yes, if the chosen vehicle has room for both alongside its chauffeur. Check the passenger capacity shown on each listing.

Does the groom need a separate wedding car?

+
That depends on the timings, distance and whether another vehicle can make both journeys. Compare the plans before deciding.

Can the car be used after the ceremony?

+
Often it can, if the itinerary and hire time allow. Include the onward journey when requesting a quote.
